Through NFL week 1 - 2008

We can finally say goodbye to those memories of 2007. The big mistake early in the season people make is hanging on to those thoughts of yester year and ignoring what the numbers of the current season are telling you. And there is much to be said after a fairly wild week 1 in 2008.

We're sure we will be ruffling a few feathers, and are prepared to get some emails from disgruntled fans in the NFC East. We know those fans won't like to admit it, but the power in the NFL seems to be sitting in the AFC North and NFC South.

4 Jets 1-0 17.45 The door is already creaking open for the Favre led Jets to make the playoffs.
5 Titans 1-0 17.24 Despite pulling off a good win, there are some concerns amongst the numbers.
6 Bills 1-0 17.11 In strong competition for the 2nd best complete team behind the Steelers.
7 Bears 1-0 16.71 It's likely that when Real Points joins Win Grade next week the Bears will make a jump up the rankings.
8 Ravens 1-0 16.70 A very good start. Now lets see them transfer those stats into more points on offense.
9 Cardinals 1-0 16.26 We'd like to see more than ho-hum performances against their easy early schedule.
10 Patriots 1-0 16.03 No doubt a monster blow to the Pats, but we have a feeling they aren't going anywhere easy.
11 Broncos 1-0 15.85 The numbers aren't convinced of their greatness just yet.
12 Packers 1-0 15.84 Penalties undermining what appears to be a very dangerous team.
13 Panthers 1-0 15.44 Just try and stay healthy, ok?
14 Saints 1-0 14.52 Gutsy win. We'll be watching their run defense very closely.
15 Cowboys 1-0 14.22 Don't fret too much, even the Eagles will struggle in Dallas.
16 Giants 1-0 13.73 Unlike most of the Nation, we weren't very impressed by their victory over the 'skins.
17 Browns 0-1 5.22 The early season schedule isn't doing the Browns any favors.
18 Redskins 0-1 5.13 Underneath the ugliness of game 1 is a team that can make the playoffs.
19 Chargers 0-1 5.05 Our only concern is how these slow starts will affect home field advantage for the playoffs.
20 Buccaneers 0-1 4.69 Tough loss, plus what looks to be another tough test for the defense.
21 Raiders 0-1 4.55 Going to be a tricky team to figure out, would help if they found balance on offense.
22 Colts 0-1 4.31 Adrian Peterson has them looking dead in the face of an 0-2 start.
23 Rams 0-1 4.26 The numbers don't think the Rams are one of the worst teams. Yet.
24 Jaguars 0-1 4.13 The way the offense played does have us concerned.
25 Vikings 0-1 3.31 Looks like they still haven't turned the corner on becoming a playoff team.
26 Dolphins 0-1 3.27 Dolphins really need to figure out how to play better at home.
27 49ers 0-1 3.25 The team we picked to have a turn around '08 didn't get off to a good start.
28 Seahawks 0-1 3.13 Things would be looking ugly even with a healthy Burleson.
29 Chiefs 0-1 2.95 Even if they had pulled out the win at the last minute, we'd be concerned.
30 Lions 0-1 2.93 The Lions look to be a question mark at best.
31 Bengals 0-1 2.52 The way the offense played we're not sure how they scored 10 points.
32 Texans 0-1 2.26 Eliminate the turnovers and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Pick Six Betting Details for NFL week 2

Sweetness. When we saw the odds come out last Monday evening we knew our Pick Six for NFL week 2 was going to have a great chance at pulling in a profit. The public misconception on the Oakland and Tennessee games was blatant to our system and we made sure the Pick Six took advantage of it. The 3-0 result from those 2 games alone was enough to guarantee profit for the week.

Looking ahead to NFL week 3 we don't want to get overly excited over the results of this week. Normally week 3 is one of the better early season weeks to bet on, but as always we will have to see how the odds-makers and public view things before we will know for sure. We are working hard to get our picks out early on Tuesday this week, so that our Members can make full use of any early in the week odds. As we expected, week 1 was going to be a tough week to figure out. Overall on our 48 predictions we went a straight .500, 24-24. But the power of the system already shows up in the Pick Six, where we went a nice 4-2 and picked up profit to start the season.
